They'd go a few rounds back and forth, Godzilla would win some, and Gamera would win some. Then, because nobody wants to see their boy lose, they'll likely realize that they were set up to take each other out by some evil aliens who no doubt possess a kaiju of their own. Then we get to see some kickass free-for-all action!

Also depends on which Godzilla you match ( Godzilla from the 60 & 70 ) v.s Gamera of 90 trilogy yes but Godzilla from the 90 / Millenium /Final Wars ...NO WAY

The best match would be the Heisei version of both characters because those were the most consistent.

It depends, if you go by the Gamera from the old films he'll lose but put up a fight, if you go by the 90s trilogy then he might be able to beat Godzilla but if you go by Gamera the brave............dear lord Godzilla will wipe the floor with Toto Gamera.

If we're going on durability displayed in the movies, Godzilla hands down. If it ever became a movie, though, I can imagine they would scale them both size- and powers-wise. Cool pic.

Hard to say, Gamera's shell would most-likely withstand even the spiral ray, Godzilla's skin would mostly be immune to Gamera's fire and his regen-factor would have him get over the mana blast quickly, plus as already said, they would be feeding eachother, plus Gamera's onlt soft spot is his underside which Godzilla would realize and a physical fight wouldn't mean anything because they are both pretty tough.

Also, Gamera can fly and Godzilla can't. Godzilla has always had some difficulty with flying opponents, especially fast ones.

I already mentioned the Mana Beam, and I said Goszilla's healing factor would have him over any damage quickly. The flying factor wouldn't mean much when Godzilla is used to facing flying foes.

Yes, but the flying foes are usually slow ones, easy to aim to.
And the ones that are fast are usually kind of dumb.
What I'm saying is something like this: Compare it to a boxing match. Godzilla would be someone like Mike Tyson (in his prime), a hard puncher, it hits and destroys, it gives you a KO in the first round. No pulling back. It's punch, you're dead, who's Next? Punch...
Gamera is more of a Muhammed Ali, Gamera has more "style" he makes strategies, he overcomes his weaknesses, sometimes making those weaknesses into strengths, he finds a way, he adapts...
I'm not sure I made it clear, or more confusing, but that's the way I visualize a battle of this two Kaiju.

First, you didn't make it more confusing. Second, I think I understand,but I'm not sure. Finally, I don't know much of Boxing other than that people like Tyson or Ali are people who boxed at one point, so that probably didn't help explain.

Just putting in two cents but from the few I've watched its Godzilla would mor or less likely win for the fact that his opponents weren't slow or lacked intelligence they were lethal in their own ways but rodan was the fastest flyer he faced and Godzilla has faced him gamera though I've seen sacrifice his own hand against Irys but it would be Godzilla cause of the healing factor I've seen Godzilla become completely destroyed and only his heart survive his only weakness I've seen is the oxygen destroyer bomb and extreme amounts of radiation so unless gamera can some how find those he is in for a tough fight

Considering it's a Godzilla film, they will fight until Destroyah or Gigan or whoever else attacks and Godzilla and Gamera work together, defeat bad guy, become friends, exchange phone numbers, and part ways.
