A sociopathic killer calling himself the "Joker" went into a movie theater in Aurora Colorado and proceeded to shoot movie viewers of the then new Batman movie on opening night. Β
Despite the depravity of the assailant, three men in the theater showed true courage and sheltered their girlfriends with their own bodies and saving the lives of three women at the cost of their own.Β Even in the worst moments in the world, there is courage, there is honor, there is integrity and though we may question our faith in man, there are those who restore it without even trying to. Β I think that is why the world loves superheroes because they stand for everything we wish we had.
I Love this picture because it brings Batman down to our level and gives him a level of emotion and grief commensurate with our own, the same grief that drove in to do what he did after the loss of his own parents. Β Excellent work Rumper!
