(^_^) I wake up to find myself in a white room "Where... am I?"

"Oops, none of that!" Suddenly your wrists and ankles are clamped to the floor. I wave from the opposite side of a glass screen, a mask over my face. Looks like some kind of breathing apparatus, but it also conceals my identity. I launch right into it. "Hullo. From your unique psychological and physiological overview, you were the best possible subject for this experiment. Nothing personal, just science. Open wide." From the tank full of slime beside you lowers a hose, aimed at your mouth.

I glare at you and keep my mouth shut.

"Come on." I don't stop it. The hose starts spraying slime anyway, all over your face, getting up your nose. It's hard to breathe, and the slime seems to be spreading over you all on its own.

I gasp and it gets in my mouth.

"See, there you go." The hose wedges itself in there firmly, and the slime sorta tastes like a lemon-lime soda. It almost feels like you're dissolving into it.

"That wasn't so bad, was it?" The hose retracts. You can still think and see somehow, but the tank has emptied all over you and you are indistinguishable from its contents. "Now, providing your records aren't falsified, you should be able to will yourself into some kind of shape. Give it a try."

I glare at you and try it. I turn into a ball.

"A ball, hmm? Oh boy, where's the controls for the..." I go on, but it's incoherent mumbling. Finally I give up and join you in the room. "All right, what shall I sculpt you into?" I crack my black gloved knuckles.

I mentally roll my eyes and change into a cube that is big enough for you.

"Let's see." I trace a deep indentation into your surface. "There, now you should be able to talk. No suggestions?"

"Change me back. I never agreed to this."

"No one agrees to be the most important evolution in human history. Right you are then." I get to sculpting, and soon you're back in your original shape, but still clearly slime. "It shouldn't take much concentration to maintain that shape now that you've been in it."

I blink at you "I'm important right now?"

"You have all the necessary functions of a human and you can turn into anything with the same mass. Yes, you are an enormous evolutionary leap. Here, you could even sculpt yourself if you like."

I sculpt, turning into a snake.

"Bravo." I look you over. "Yes, everything seems to be in place. This didn't end so well for... well, never you mind. Congratulations."

I grin and coil around you.

"Um. H-hold on. None of that." I grab some sort of device from my belt, only for it to slip from my grip. "Could this hold on until after I retrieve that?"

"No." I start eating you.

"Now now, there's no call for that!" The mask gives me room to speak, at least for now. I struggle futilely.

I get all of you in me and I smile.

I'm not sure what the slime you're made of might do to me in here. That hasn't been tested. All I can do is wait.

After a bit, I let you out "Now, why didn't you guys just asked me to do this?"

I cough, still covered in your slime. "Your DNA was exactly what we needed. If you'd said no, then what would we do?"

"Exactly. Science had to be served before anyone's rights. And look, you're certainly not any worse for it."

"So stop complaining! The way to the exit is clearly marked. I'll be in the chemical shower."

"What, was there something else you wanted?" I ask as I go.

"No." I slither out.

(Maybe) I wake up and look around the room I was in "Where am I?"

"Nowhere important..."

*I grab a container with strange slime in it..*
(Wait, so you just turn into slime, or a slime version of something?)

*I pour a drop on your head, your hair starts to feel strange.*
"Nothing much..."

I frown "My hair feels odd."
