The Ruby Scepter of the Real Eye
Stories had been told about a powerful staff forged by the sacrifice of many heroes after combat with a devilish creature similar as the Gorgon but way more dangerous, because once the monsters kept an eye on the one it turns into stone. But, at difference by make eye contact, this creatures needed none. By just look at the objective, it turned into a statue. The victorious hero who could take off the monster retrieved a jewel from her neck once the eyes being blindfolded by good measure... The jewel was a beautiful ruby made with ancient times and forces which molded until become into the precious treasure the hero obtained.

The jewel, however, turned to be a powerful magic item that non-magical ones can manipulate; the jewel was given at the high druids from the low shires where the kingdom celebrated the slay of the monster. The Druids carved a new wooden staff to hold the jewel in position... Yet the same had to be get stuck by raw force due nature refused to hug such earth-made piece. The staff was created to bring harmony and peace towards the kingdoms.

Nonetheless, the jewel activated a second phase.
The staff was a great relic that many robbers and killers wanted by their own. But to obtain the ruby. That turned into their demise.
As soon as the burglar takes the staff, the eyes of the victim where incinerated to leave statue-like eyes instead... and as an illness, they turned into stone becoming into dead statues. The druids were afraid of the staff... And it was hidden away.

Until a burglar could obtain it. The statue of the burglar was around a road where many royal families happen to walk around. And the staff was taken by the royal family's mage. The mage upgraded it to hold his magical ball of wisdom, calling it as the Ruby Scepter of the Real Eye. But, the only thing it occasionated was give at the scepter a new devastating curse.
If the owner carries it, then all the ones around 500 meter in radius transform into statues that crumbles into rubbish after 10 straight seconds. The mage was seen as a murdered of the crown when all the royal family, including guards and servants were found in stone before fall down as sand castles.,, The mage was hanged. But the scepter preserved... Until be jailed away.

It is unknown where the scepter is already. But whosoever has it, he/she is making ghost towns where the inhabitants turned into stone and then into rubbish. But if not, then it is in the empty tomb of the king from the now-extinct kindgom of Morhoal.
