How to tell Fredbear's shown up: the word count increases dramatically. I originally was going to have the bit from the game about the button included, until I realized that particular game mechanic doesn't work with the story-I can't see a way to make the quick port numbers work with things.Sorry, Springles. You're stuck walking everywhere.

PANEL 1:
Foxy: Well, that brought us to the edge of the woods. That's something.
PANEL 2:
Fredbear: There you are. I was wondering when you'd catch up. I wanted to talk before you went any further, in case you ran into anyone who was glitched.
PANEL 3:
Fredbear: I still think it's from something on the flipside. A misguided side effect.
Foxy: And a violent one.
PANEL 4:
Fredbear: ...Which reminds me, I should do a head count to see how many people went nippy this week.
PANEL 5:
Fredbear: The good news is, knocking some sense into them seems to work.
Spring Bonnie: Worked for me! Kinda hope it doesn't happen again.
PANEL 6:
Fredbear: But I have a feeling the glitching can be fixed by finding more sub-tunnels in the glitched areas. I'd say the Dusting Fields are where you'd want to go next.
PANEL 7:
Foxy: I'm wondering if this is where BB headed. We were due to check it for trouble, anyway.
Fredbear: It certainly can't hurt to look.
PANEL 8:
Fredbear: But before you go-I need to talk to Springtrap again.
Springtrap: Like I didn't see THAT coming.

I bet Balloon Boy found a couple others, fixed them, and beaten some bossbots, or is running away from them while screaming for help.

Springtrap can catch on, believe it or not. (Even if he remains stubborn and cranky.) And yep, Foxy is short; BB is even shorter. I keep meaning to do a handy height reference chart. Maybe this weekend.

You're not imagining it. Fredbear honestly doesn't like Springtrap very much, and he does get a certain sense of schadenfreude from making him squirm.

Goldie enjoys both the chaos and him. He's weird and doesn't make sense half the time, but it's funny to watch him try to figure everything out. And he's on some weird scavenger hunt!

Oddly enough whenever I play BB is always the first Animatronic fight I usually encounter whenever I start a new game. Something tells me the deeper they go the more unhinged Fredbear becomes...that or Springtrap o_o

Fredbear's been riding herd on this little slice of the afterlife since back in the 80s, when Springtrap started making his own bed, so to speak. I'd consider him snarky but stable.
Springles, on the other hand, has always been a bit questionable at best. The well-hinged don't use 'fuck THAT birthday party in particular' as a problem solver.

I was more talking about Fredbear's subtly towards Springtrap is becoming a bit more apparent to the others that he knows something they dont (Which he does) and it feels like slowly they are trying to connect the dots.

Given that people keep trying to rip faces off, trying to put some stuff together is probably their best bet for staying in one piece. Of course, Fredbear has his reasons for keeping everyone in the dark-namely, avoiding a mass existential crisis.

I'm sorry if I keep repeating myself but he's, literally (one of) the funniest characters in this comic, ESPECIALLY when you consider his behavior (mechanic-wise I mean) in the game itself pffff--

Ha. "Nippy". Goldie bit Springtrap's ear off!! I'd say that's beyond nippy into bitey. But I also love how keen she is in how well beating some sense into people works!
And I love how thrilled Springs is to see Fredbear... Springs is just so happy.

I debated how much of him to have coming through, and settled on the ears, just because it was easier. I was already doing eight panels this week and was game to take shortcuts.
As I've noted elsewhere-Goldie has that inherent streak of violence to her; she's just much better at using it constructively. In this case, 'constructively' means beating the crap out of your friends at times.
As always, glad you're enjoying it. A part with Fredbear I've been wanting to do for awhile is coming up soon.

Glad you're enjoying it! It's a challenge sometimes to figure out how the game mechanics would work (or not work), but it's fun to do. And the game itself has all sorts of weird bits that're fun to play with.

My opinion on him softened after seeing that one animation where he's just so focused on getting a hold of the flashlight batteries. People's hatred of him is something I definitely had in mind when I decided he'd be the MIA group member, though. You'll see what I mean later on.
