Foxy: Lolbit, have you see BB lately?
PANEL 2:
Lolbit: Two days ago, passing through. Why?
Springtrap: The Grim Reaper is tiny and /looking at me/.
Goldie: He's a byte! Cute, huh?
Springtrap: No.

Goldie: C'mon, he's not gonna stab you. That only happened once, and Freddy was fine. ...after a giftbox, but...
Springtrap: YOU play with the tiny spectre of death. And what's with her eyes?
Goldie: What, Lolbit's? They've always been like that.
PANEL 4:
Springtrap: Yeah, and your eyes were like that and you tried to kill me.
Goldie: Some people's eyes are just like that. Good rule of thumb is, if they're not trying to take your face off, they're not glitched.
Panel 5:
Springtrap: Why would her ey-wait. Nevermind.
Goldie: What?
Springtrap: Just remembered that they were the same on the flipside. ...and that's all I remember, so don't ask.
Panel 6:
Dante: Okay, now I'm REALLY confused. Is that damn rabbit supposed to be blue or purple? It keeps changing.
Jorge: I think they used bad references, too-see how that one looks like the heads minus the eyes? I get the feeling that the budget for anything but the stage robots isn't real high...
Dante: The three inch chunk the suit took out of my leg agrees with you.

well he's lavender actually which is some lighting can appear blue, hence why some people say that, his minigame version and plushie pixels are blue because lavender doesn't always translate well in 8-bit due to color limitations

...was it shitty lighting in the book? it probably was because he looks blue in bad lighting until he's in good lighting when you notice he is very much indeed lavender.Β

Is it possible that the stage lights are what make him appear purple/lavender and that white lighting would show him as blue?
For the record, I have been copying down descriptions of characters from the book for a project I'm working on. Here's the excerpt I was referring to:
"There was Bonnie, the rabbit. His fur was a bright blue, his squared-off muzzle held a permanent smile, and his wide and chipped pink eyes were thick-lidded, giving him a perpetually worn-out expression. His ears stuck up straight, crinkling over at the top, and his large feet splayed out for balance. He held a red bass guitar, blue paws poised to play, and around his neck was a bowtie that matched the instrument's fiery color." (Pg 56-57)
Interpret that as you will.

well the author isn't scott himself, it's likely that the writer saw his fur as blue and didn't know it was purple OR they saw toy bonnie and thought that normal bonnie must've been blue too

well when they say scott wrote it, he wrote it as much as chris metzan wrote many of the warcraft books...in which he did, he supervised and told the lore to the author but he didn't actually pick up a typewriter or sit at the computer and type it out himself, does that make sense?

Springtrap is remembering why Lolbit would have the weird eyes-because the quality control with art for all the tie-in stuff for the restaurant was....pretty much nonexistent. Reference photos that got sent are lacking the eyeballs in the ehad? Eh, who cares, kids are stupid. And safety features, as always, are kinda ignored.

I'm tempted to just throw my hands in the air and declare Adventure Bonnie, at least, as blurple. Indigo, if you want to be nicer, maybe, but blurple is funnier. And writing flashback dialogue is one of my favorite things just because the topics discussed are usually so, so screwed up.

The costumes are my way of getting around the fact that I still can't draw people very well. Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and try sketching them sans suits, because some of the flashback stuff I want to do will work better if there's actual expressions and not just closeups on hands and the like.
