Frankly, I'm not very good at hands. So of course I make a comic with lots of focus on hands. Whoops.Also, I'm enjoying last batch of black void background of low stress-coloring, because after this we're firmly into flashback territory. With all the 'oh god, why do they have be humans, I can't draw humans' that entails. This'll either force me to get better at them, or we'll be back to early comic levels of art for a bit. But hey, I finally get to throw my own take at what all went down at the readership, and I'm thrilled about that. Next week: pencil brush inking, ghosts, and Kansas. No, not the state.

Coming up with motivation for the murders that wasn't just 'lolz murder I'm crazy!!!1' took effort, but I'm really looking forward to sharing it. I think it's a fairly unique take, but it fits with the spirit of the earlier games, before the weird twist into scifi.
And yes, you're dead on re: Goldie. She's going to be picturing him as a rabbit for all of this.

is mainly funtime foxy and bonnie bc they are perfect, and need to be canon COUGGH.

I meant in terms of murder reference, but yeah, FNAF World's still being used, because without that, I'm lacking my setup.
And 'survived' isn't the word I would use for my take at all. My take is much more ghost story than 'yeah, this dude is still alive somehow, technically', and in a ghost story, things don't need to be alive to be.

The plot would have been laid out before all the recent lore. They wont change it now, and they shouldnt have to, so just enjoy it? Honestly with a plot like FNaF you cant expect everyone to remember every detail.

Yep, this has been all laid out over a year in advance, and the comic got rolling before SL hit. Looking at the logs I have saved, I thiiiiink that the earliest point I started nailing down his motivation for the murders was about October 2016.

That's true determined dedication to stick with the comic this long lol, i'd lose motivation very quickly, I think. But I honestly really do enjoy this comic's ability to fuse humour and (sort of mild) horror. I'm curious though, time had been running away from me and I havent been able to keep up with recent pages of your comic, but since SL has any of the new lore even slightly influenced the plot? Or have you thought about things that would have been funny to add or reference if you could or would?

I kinda like some of the designs-the Foxy and Bonnie handpuppet-but no, once I finally figured out a motivation that wasn't 'LOLZ I'M EVIL', I've stuck to it pretty firmly. Anything from the later games would be for a one-off joke outside the main comic, because oh man, what a quagmire the plot's begun. I admit I still haven't watched a playthrough of the latest one yet, just read bits on the subreddit and heard about stuff from friends. (I've been busy with a whole lot stuff, a watch is on the to-do list.) I think in comparison, my plot and reasoning is going to be a hell of a lot less...IDK, simpler? When I first started nailing it down, it was like 'well, this is a shade of insanity the fandom hasn't used yet', but man, now it just pales in comparison, crazy-wise, to what Scott did.
