Yes it does. Without love, there would be no such thing as relationships. No connection. No care. Everyone would hate each other, and thus there would be no friends. There wouldn't even be families. If friendsΒ didn't even like each other, they wouldn't be friends.
Perhaps you were thinking of romantic love. That's not the only love. You love your family, but it's a different kind of love. Close friendship has a similar love to family love. You care about them a lot, but nothing romantic. So there's romantic love, family love, and friendship love :3
