one of my headcanons is that they're twins but Edmund is the younger twin and Dimitri acts a lot older then him (even though he's not that much older at all) Edmund's kinda dorky and nerdy so when they were kids Dimitri acted all tough to look out for his brother xD
even though they're equally dorky Dimitri just hides it better xD
I have a few sketches of them as kids in my sketchbook x"D

I have all these pictures down where Edmund is like, the social butterfly and he's always running up to people to play with them and dimitri pretty much chases him around like "Ed I don't think they wanna play let's go play by outselves over there!" Dimitri doesn't like the other children.
and so then sometimes a bully will come and tease Edmund or take his glasses and then Dimitri will get all tough and be like "leave him alone!" and they're favorite thing to do when they get home is sit down together and look at a book together XD
even when they couldn't read, they loved sitting on the floor in their room with a book and just look at the pictures
and yeah, I feel ike they would have shared a bed or something
I feel like they're the kind of twins that are inceperable I mean, they even did their work together when they grew up xD they obviously spent a ton of their time together when they were little XD

Awwww X3333 that's adorable I have headcanon that in their teens Dimitri would be kinda anti social and is always focused on his work and he would be like grumpy then Edmund would be like the really happy one and would always try to make his bro happy so that he could see him smile c:

GAH I JUST DREW A PICTUREOF THEM IN THEIR TEENS and LIke, I feel ilke, even when they're teens Edmund would still get picked on a bit but now dimitri could actually defend his brother since they were older and so I feel like everytime Edmund tries to thank Dimitri for helping him dimitri would be like "no stop thanking me, I've been saving your butt since kindergarden, this isn't anything new, Ed."
OH also
when one of the twins cries, the other one can't help but start crying too. so like, Dimitri and Edmund were good boys and never got in trouble but when one got in trouble and was yelled at, the other one would cower under the table and cry until the yelling was over, then they would attempt to comfort whoever got yelled at.
they hate it when each other cries.
also everytime i draw little Dimitri he's fluffy. DIMITRI WAS A FLUFFY PUGGLE.

which is just adorable in my opoion because Imagine it, they're walking together and one trips and then other other trips over the one that fell AND THEN THERES A PUGGLE PILE <3
I also think that Steppenwolf and Menniker were best friends because I mean, they're dad's are twins and they do their work together and I imagine they're families always get together for dinner so the cousins end up playing with each other all the time XD
of course eventually that changes but when they're kids they're friends in my mind XD
