((I even found evidence that the Bible is, in fact, not against homosexuality!
It may be the weapon we need to defeat bigots and homophobes.))

Matthew 7:1
1"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. 2"For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.…

Luke 6:37
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Luke 6:41
"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

John 8:7
When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her."

Romans 2:1
You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.

Romans 14:10
You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat.

Romans 14:13
Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.

James 4:11
Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.

Why shouldn't Christians bring up Leviticus? Jesus said that the old rules are just as valid as the new rules (Matthew 5:18-19). So you better stop eating shellfish or you'll BURN IN HELLFIRE FOR ALL TIMES!!!

Leviticus is hardly a good example of what modern-day Christianity should look like. The New Testament (such as Romans) does address homosexuality, so why do Christians keep bringing up Leviticus? It annoys me so much.

Didn't Jesus say the old rules were just as valid as the new ones(for the most part)?

Before he died, yes. Before the Final Sacrifice (Jesus's death) there were no new rules.

Plus, to make things dumber, Leviticus is basically the specific part of the OT Christianity is -supposed- to ignore.Β  And if I recall, Leviticus specifically calls it an abomination...the same words used to describe things like eating shellfish, so it might not exactly be a condemn you to hell admonishment even there.

I suppose Leviticus should also be read carefully, because I'm pretty certain that God said that these "rules" were to be told to the Israelites before the long list. If Christians want to read it literally, then they should learn to read it right, in context,, and even if Homosexuality was directly implied for Leviticus, it was ONLY implied to the people of Israel.

It has context, rules for living successfully as a desert nomad before the invention of...much of anything.Β  Having studied the origins of the OT, especially the laws set out, most had practical intents or thoughts behind them (I said most.Β  Even my teacher, theologist as she was, didn't have a clue about mixing fibers).

I don't believe that sin exists either. This is mainly a message to people out there that are still Christians and believe that sin exists; I'm trying to expose the failure in logic that exists in their Biblical argument against homosexuality.

That, I do not know, but I wasn't actually saying that homosexuality is a sin. I was debunking the argument that homosexuality is a sin. A lot of people take lines out of Leviticus to try and prove a point without knowing of all the other ridiculous things written in Levitcus that nobody follows. I wasn't trying to hate on anyone, but I guess the argument I was trying to make had the opposite effect than what I intended.
