Started this back in 2006 on a summer of Taiwan (was too humid and my arm was damp constantly), came back in 2015 and took 3 weeks to finish the colors.It has a very Lion King feel to it when Mufasa was showing his son his "inheritance", his kingdom, and his responsibility.

in the first time, I'm really overwhelmed by the brilliant energy from the sun, it's really vivid as if it send the light power through the monitor, up to now I think to express the brilliant sun by the colored pencils is difficult, on this art, you use the deep color on the shade part and then the sun shine more brilliant in comparison with the shadow color.
