In a story a friend and I write, one of my characters mastered fire-based alchemy and ice-based alchemy. She soon found a way to mix them, creating a sword made of ice and fire that neithers melts nor goes out until she lets go. In which case the flames would go out, and it would melt rather slowly. It causes intense damage by cutting with a razor-sharp blade, and covering the entire area with both frostbite and serious burns. But still bleeds.

This was an idea completely originated in my mind, and I ask that you not take it or claim it as your own in any way, shape, or form.
