Backstory
Alexander was born as a heir to the red royal line, and his father had high expectations from him. However, he didn't inherit fire from his father, in fact, he didn't show any elemental affinity at all for a long time. His father praised his half-sibling instead, a small girl, an illegal child of two royal lines, who happened to have 2 elements when he had none.
Some time later he almost died when a big heavy box with armour fell onto him, but his instincts took over and saved him from being smashed by transforming into a shadow and back. He was said to possess a shadow ability, yet element-wise, he's got none.
He envied his half-sibling, and, was afraid of her taking over the throne.
