Description
Finnaly..... I have managed to uplaod one of my pictures. I sketched this one up in my speech class then collored it with adobe elements (T.T).. Took me like six hours... (*-*) because I'm used to CS but lets just say I longer have access to it and was forced to buy elements.... IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE THE INKING TOOLS. ITS A LITERAL PAIN IN THE ASS... cough, cough. any ways I hope to have my other pictions of crow and jack up before halloween (hahahah) (right...................).......I listed this under anime because Crow is anime/Manga most of the time.... Youll see what I mean when I get the rest up.

Very cool, I like how you did the background and the fall colors. I also like the glowing lights, they look well with the rest of the picture. Great job. ( n_n )b

Ooh, i do like the frame.. how it goes from dark to light in contrast to the picture. I also love the leaves you have drawn falling, over a background of leaves in another style. And it's a great use of that leaf brush but i have seen it in maaany deviations which is not bad because you use it better than a lot of them... but it would be more individual perhaps if you used a brush that you made yourself or at least, a less well known one. That's just my opinion, though, and like i said, you used it very well (i love those minor differences in hue)..

Aah, it's not at all difficult.. you can either do it pixel by pixel or you can use a textured image to get a brush with details in... I'm not sure on the actual process, i always look it up when i need to make a brush, but it is extremely simple fear not.

Very nice style, clean and great colours, this would make a good desktop wallpaper. I would prefer it without the framing, just my opinion, but I think I prefer just the picture, keeps it clean. But well done, you have a lot of talent

Heh, nice, simple picture. I like it! The fullview was a little large for my tiny screen, though.
On a whim, I think I'll add it to my favourites.

Wow, this is really great.
First I'd say rework the border as I don't know about it right now, the colours seem out of place and don't flow fully in my opinion. Experiment with different techniques for it and it'll be sweet.
Otherwise it's really nice keep it up!

Overall this is a good piece composition wise. Yet some things need work.
First I would work on your lineart. Not many people realize this, but good lineart is a good foundation for the rest of it. No matter how good your shading or coloring is if your lineart is subpar it will not look as good as it can. Try some line variation. Thicker and thinner lines could add a lot of character to this, even use really thick dark lines as shadows and in some places use no line at all, merely imply that there are lines there. This way it looks much more interesting.
Your shading and coloring is very nice, though I would work a little more on the pumpkins. they shadows should be more curved to accentuate the round features of the pumpkins. Also, try and add various other shadows so they don't appear flat like they do now. Add little mottled patches to simulate texture. Add streaks of shadow through the pumpkins to simulate ridges. Be daring with shadow. The same techniques can be used with highlights, and both together can make for a very dynamic art work.
I am just getting into digital art, but it look like you are using the burn tool for the shadows. Not a bad idea, but I wouldnt overdo it. A darker color (for shade) or lighter (for highlights) would work just as well and give it a bit more of a natural look. Maybe just use the burn and dodge tools at the very edges, where highlights and shadows are stronger.
All that aside, I think your composition is wonderful. I love the theme and the colors are not merely appropriate but also very vivid. The background is great, I love the the use of the leaf brush in PS and this is one of the better attempts with it I have seen. The composition is also very good. The triangular layout between large pumpkin, axe, and scarecrow makes the eye move about so that everything is taken in.
A masterful compositiona nd a great use of color. Work a little on your techniques and you could do a lot.

i don't know much about this style of work but this looks good to my eyes. nice job. the only things that stick out to me are the borders and the white "glow" spots. i'm rather undecided about these attributes. nonetheless, i like the image.

>.> I've been working in Pixia mostly to color, it's a freeware. It probably doesn't have inking tools either, although I still haven't learned all of its tools, most of them are simpler than photoshop, but I rather like it.

This is so cute! How did you get the background leaves to look like that? When ever I used the leaves brush it always comes out multi colored. Yours looks so much better and so pretty!

after filling a layer with leaves issolate the background (magic wand) select the inverse (right click magic wand) and repaint the layer using a solid color.... (you can also get solid colored leaves using the burn tool but that can be kinda hard.... ) any how thanks for the comments.
