I agree with that person.We as artist will always find fault in our work. We do our best to create a work that matches what we see in our minds eye. I feel that is the ultimate goal that we rarely meet. What keeps us going is to do better and develop our skill to do that. Just present your work and let the beholder decide how they see it.

Have a look at this womans paintings and you will find it amazingly similar to your goals.
