Description

After Gill completes his training on Glee Anslem, he is searching for the remainder of the Jedi, visiting his family on Mirial and Cradle and Rylah (and wee Lai’l) on Efornios Minor, helping his sister, Sorcha, with her Mirialan rebellion, and keeping under the radar of the Empire.

(Maybe he finds an apprentice? Or at least a companion to join him on his search for the Jedi and what the Empire knows regarding them? But I have no idea what their name is or who they are yet so bear with me).

In his search, he discovers that the Empire has learned his name, and with his name, his family’s name. He (and his pal?) rush to Mirial, but his parents are dead, slaughtered by the Empire after remaining hidden for all this time, and Sorcha is nowhere to be found. Gill is crushed, but he knows there’s at least one more person they can trace to him—Cradle. He prays that Sorcha is hidden away with her rebellion and that the Empire is struggling to track down Cradle, and leaves for Efornios Minor (leaving his pal? to stay behind and find Sorcha).

He arrives just before the Empire does, telling Cradle and Rylah to leave as fast as they can, just before their home is blown away. The darkness that Gill had felt creeping up behind him was here. Surrounded by smoke and fire, Gill tells Cradle and Rylah to leave, to take his ship and go!

Cradle is reluctant to leave him behind, but with Rylah barely awake and Lai’l clinging to his shirt, he grits his teeth and runs. Gill looks back only once, and then faces the agent of Darkness the Empire sent with a blazing blade…
