When Cradle was still a shiny on Coruscant, he was present for a terrorist attack, during which he earned his name...

"A Separatist terrorist attack at a busy outdoor center definitely spiced up Coruscant life a bit. A small section of building was brought down near one of garden attractions, and several people were lost in the rubble. Cradle was among the troops on duty nearby, and they hurried to scene as fast as they could. It became clear they needed more help, and they quickly blocked off the area, got bystanders to safety, and called for reinforcements. As they waited, they could hear small cries coming from the collapse, which had started to smoke and burn. Cradle, without hesitation, jumped into the rubble and disappeared after the cries before any of his squad could stop him. He pushed his way through and eventually found two children huddled in the shelter of a large piece of metal. He comforted them, grabbed them up and turned to go, only for the way out to suddenly blocked by a shift of the remains. Every way was blocked, and Cradle realized they were trapped. The children began to panic again, but he calmed them, assured him his brothers were coming to save them, and to them to just hold onto him and he’d keep them safe. They crouched together as far away from the growing flames as they could, clone trooper cradling the children in his arms.
