Stage 1 - we never see wee Jim in the book but I imagine he was very blonde as a child and liked to play outside and help with wee chores at the Admiral Benbow.
Stage 2 - Jim during Bones’ stay at the inn. Pretty stressed from the unsavory guest, the constant nightmares about the one-legged man, and his dad’s illness.
Stage 3 - Life is good! Yay! I’m on a ship! The voyage is good! I’m having a good time! Yay! Treachery couldn’t possibly be on the horizon!
Stage 4 - Killed a man. Faced betrayal, murder, and battle. Kinda fed up with the adults on this trip. Just wants to go home.
