huge file~okay~
more SoMa since my taste buds are tingling for more fanart of them ^^aaaanyway~ i had been working on this for two weeks...
i was planning for it to rot in my document folder because i have no damn idea how to colour it in DD8
okay...lets see how this drawing was formed and the story of its...uhh, evolutions...
1= started out as a sketch in open canvas like all of my other works and then i inked it~
2= i started to colour it~ but i had no idea how to since i didnt plan it so i coloured them using cellshading (the simplest type i could do)
fail...
3= redid all of the colour and used softcell shading instead...
fail...
4= left them unshaded and then added bg...
okay...but...still...
fail...
5= i couldnt figure it out so i grayscaled everything...i even tried to add screentones to fill them in....
fail~!
6= decided to ignore all colours and go for thicker lines...
used line weight to shade everything in~
okay...good.
7= readded the block colours...THEN just shaded it in the most simplest way possible...
tadahhh~
hopefully it looks even a bit good...
likes the starry sky~
loves the soulxmaka pairing~

i would say though that you can start around chapter 40 of the manga since thats where the anime started going off the manga's plot xDD

Anyways, I like the result a lot. The starry sky is totally awesome. Did you use some texture/filter for that? Or is it hand-made?
And the whole coloring is totally awesome, mostly how all the colors match, somehow. It looks nice and complete C:

i would love to make a little "process chart" to show how i made this step by step if i hadnt already deleted the file DD: (i always delete my .psd files to empty up my ram space TT^TT)

the sky was made with simple cloud brushes which i gradiented - coloured the cloud edges with both green and purple - inspired by another night sky piece i've seen
the stars is just the normal scatter brush ^^
im glad you think the colours match xDD;; cause i havent coloured a full pic like this in ages...

Ah, what a shame. that's too bad. -sigh- Yeah I can understand that I guess, even when I usually keep the psd files as long as I can. -doesn't really worries about the space xD;;-
