I really love this shot! The colors are so pretty. They are all very natural, and light, really giving a look to the feeling of an 'escape'. Just perfectly fitting with your title! I also love how the walls, everything about the photo looks almost like a smooth as silk painting. That is until you come up to the stark contrast of the white, interestingly patterned curtain. If definitely makes you focus on the thing that stands out, and what stands out is the escape in a physical form! (:
There are only two suggestions that I would like to offer to help improve the photo (since no art is perfect). The first is that I think the vignette around the photo could be toned down juust a bit. I know it adds more of the blue feeling of the photo, but in my own opinion I also find having that blue anywhere besides in the window really draws away from your focus on the window itself. Lastly, I would just like to touch upon the angle of your shot. I feel like the image would be all five stars for me if the horizontal lines in the photo (i.e the very top of the photo) were completely straight along. Simply saying there is just a slight tilt downward in the photo. IF this is simply just the architecture of the building itself, please ignore what I say in the rest of this paragraph. If you could take the shot over all I would suggest is doing everything in your ability to make sure you get the shot dead on straight and level. Thank you for really looking deep into this photo and giving a useful critique. I agree with what you said about the angle, I actually uploaded a new version of this photo, which I tilted slightly to make the horizontal lines straight. And yes it definitely looks better like this 
About the vignette, I kinda like it, to me it makes the photo a bit softer and rounder - but I guess it's a question of taste

Yes, I completely understand about that. It's all based on personal preference, and that's why I said it's just my opinion, since I know a lot of people like it. It doesn't look bad anyway, it's still an amazing photo with or without I believe (:

I absolutely love the colors on this. The curtain looks like it's hiding a navy blue colored room, and it sort of alludes to hope. Nicely done on this one!
