that is an exceptionally large snail or a house of rather minuscule proportions perched on the shell of a less than ordinary Helix (Cyptoomphalus) aspersa

Sometimes I think my mind is Disney/Brothers Grimm in a blender!
This particular idea is one I have sketched on bits of paper over the years{ it was originally on the back of a turtle}so I finally got it out there.
