Firefly cut through the night.
Covering the dark with bits of light.
Firefly cuts through the night
Like my own words did
All reality lost out of sight.
To do the wrong for the right.
Needy for you
Who ever knew.
How much damage I could do.
Strangling my happiness
With a noose of misery
What did I do? To be so needy of you..
What did I do, To ever lose you?
All the illusions of what, and the memories
of that.
A strong binding noose that snares the most euphoric of moods.
Dragging myself down. The self conflict is a lot.
I tried, I fought.
Somethings are too much.
Using misery as my crutch
It kills and helps.
Missing your gentle touch
One day I'll find you. One day I'll lose me.
And to stop the strangling.
Grow the ground under my feet.
And so my hands and the noose will meet
and untie me from my own ferocious pain.
Before the day I fallen slain.
