Mandelbulb 3DAdapted from by =n8iveattitude1
I know it's not that special, but it took 17 hours to render so I had to upload it.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks and yes. You can eat it, but I would eat it quick before the prices go up.

17 hours to render!
I did one last night and set it rendering while I slept. When I got up this morning I found that my computer did an automatic update and restarted itself. Gross.
It does look like a marine organism though. Good work.

Thanks. I had the raystep and stepwidth at .01 and I didn't think the resolution was really high, but that's how long it took in the end.

What do raystep and stepwidth do? I'm still learning the controls and I haven't experimented with those yet.

I'm no expert but, as far as I can tell, lowering the raystep cleans up the image and makes the render time longer. Lowering the stepwidth also cleans it up but doesn't seem to lengthen the render. Check out *HalTenny 's journal of Feb. 8 for some good rendering tips.
