what is she made of? and before sculpted what clay was she made of?

The prototype is mostly in polymer clay. The fins are in epoxy .
The copy is in resin .

What a lovely and unique style! What's the sculpture made of? It looks like a combination of two slightly different materials.Β
One thing that puzzles me when it comes to mermaid tails in art is the 'knees'. If they have fish tails, can their skeletons even bend like that? I have no idea how flexible a fish's spine actually is.Β

The body is made of polymer clay . Β Hair too.
The fins are epoxy , more resistant Β mechanically .
Yes , Mermaid anatomy is depicted sometimes more fish-like , no knees,
and sometimes Β more human like .Β
I prefer the latter one , Β since the human part is the exiting one .
One cannot Β approach the theme with logic , since it is a Β magical story ....
