I really love this piece. It is so perfectly executed, can't believe it is one of your firsts! The lighting is a wonderful touch. Too bad this wasn't mass produced!

Yes, ancient history ! And small , I believe around 1/8.
At the time I had no notion of scale and of modern sculpting materials , clays .
I dont believe this pose (ref from comic book) was ever made ...
Thanks Conny !

Wow very well done, I'm quite impressed!... For something of that size, the details are very fine and dellicut. It must have taken some time to produce something so perfectly detailed
Sorry for any misspelled words... I don't have spell-check on my lap-top.

Thanks a lot! I never considered selling pieces like this because breakage would be high in shipping,
all those spirals are very fragile.

I love this I've never tried polymer clay before. Is it like paper clay? It'd be great if you sold them

Awesome work. Although I'm not to keen about the face...it could be the angle though. Will you be creating a limited series for purchase? The lighted sculpture is a wonderful idea to own.

Hello Julie-Anna
I am still in the Phase of learning.
Every sculpture (they are the first) is an experiment mainly in improving
anatomy , movement and expression.Later maybe I will accept comission
for individual projects.I really dont see myself making series of the same
thing.
Thank you very much for your interest ,thats what keeps me going.
Take a look at my ongoing (not finished)new experiment.

Thanks a lot
Materials used can be bought in dental shops.Acrylics ,silicons, waxes, metals and some more. The technics used are a little complicated ,sothat I am trying easier ways like polymer clays to achieve my goal:better an more gracefull anatomicly correct sculptures. If interested I can try to make a step by step of some of the methods used.

im more or less just interested in the material u used for the body itself, the other materials i think i have recognized.
body looks so hard plastic to me.
if u could tell me?
and if u find time, sure do this step by step. other people would also love to see it.
thx mate

rvbhal In reply to hurzdischnurz [2008-06-18 12:19:42 +0000 UTC]
Hello
The body is really not possible to recognise.because of the paint.
It is made of acrylic resin.(same material as in fake teeth).I am preparing
a step by step. But I am a little slow with computers. Please be patient.
The technique is a little work intensive ,so that now I am using another
material called polymer clay much easier to employ,if not as resistant
as acrylic.
Take a look at my new ongoing project ,Fathom.
I will also post a photo of unpainted Witchblade.
Thanks for your interest

To acelerate the sculpting use a heat gun,no need of oven anymore
and is much faster.Perhaps you know this already..
Michael turner really can draw!

hey, i dont wanna make my entries too long and much for u
yah i also use a heating gun. without its almost impossible. but with this, only thin layers get hard, below its still soft. i have to bake the whole figure once or twice. or use a very sturdy "skelleton".
