That is some nice detailing on a small 3D print. What did you use to print it and what material? And then what sort of paint (I'm trying to decide the best way to paint some shapeways prints)

I had it printed on Shapeways, clear fine detailed (or something along those lines). I used acrylic paint.

How did you manage the grill effect on the panels? Is that modeled in or painted?

Modeled in. I took the wing design from a TIE Silencer.
