Zing, indeed. I just saw Shaun of the Dead again last night and noticed they did something like this, that asshole at Shaun's work (the one on the phone) from the beginning is still working there as a zombie at the end. I thought it was pretty funny, considering it made this same basic political statement.

which in turn is commenting on Romero's (original dawn of the dead, the zombies natural instinct is to go to the mall) portrayal of the zombie... no one can do a hari krishna zombie like romero! but shaun of the dead is a fantastic movie!

Yes, a great homage to ye zombies of olde. Not only is it one of the very few zombie comedies (and my favorite of them), but it manages to pack in a lot of character drama, which is always fun.
