yeah Wizard had a thing on her like two years ago. I think you're right about the whole public domain thing. There was another wrong superman style character they featured as well.. Wish I knew which issue that was.. may have to go digging through the stacks...

AND apparently she is credited as *being* the first superheroine... wacky. i've found a couple of sites that lists a bunch of them and i'm having a blast coming up with new ideas for them.

I'd check whether the copyright has lapsed or not before I do anything for "the project" with her. She's old enough that, if no one maintained the copyrights, she could have fallen in to the public domain but one of the sites I checked said something about reprints, which might mean someone holds her rights at current.

Work Smart, not hard

wiki says she's public domain, that's good enough for me.

I checked wkik, where did it say she's public domain, I may have missed it (or are you just editing wiki? P)

if you search "public domain characters" she is listed. And, after doing a bit of reading, AC's reprints of the comics does not take it out of Public Domain. Obviously, if i actually had this kind of money and access, it would be wrong for me to claim that i had done the originals and so on. However, using the character in my own light is still legal and can be published. it gets weird after this though, because unless i and whoever is publishing the comic say so, the new interpretations of the characters would belong to me and the company. I.E. check out Alan Moore's Terra Obscura, which uses public domain characters in a new way and no one is able to publish anything based off of Moore's material. Copyright laws are a bit wonky but there are ways of getting what you want.

Is Terra Obscura a comic? I like Moore mosta the time but I dunno, depends on the subject matter if I wanna read it. Summary?

Also, how many other public domain characters are there?
Will we see Fantoma team with the Red (?) Ermine (?) (name escapes me, but I know you know who I'm talking bout).

terra obscura has to do with Tom Strong and his gang... ABC kind of stuff, haven't read it myself.

things are formulating into a scene and i should start production soon...

Well, when you get some more details going, I'd likely contribute some scripts/characters.

Also, I think it'd be coolest if it was kept, for the time being, in a pulp-like setting (I mean, look at the characters available!)
