Description
So this is my region, the grand Reol Region!As I mentioned in my previous deviation rxarts.deviantart.com/art/Poke… , I mentioned that region was going to be inspired by the UK, most notably England.
With the help of Pokemon YouTuber 'Mr Buddy' with collaborator 'Bird Keeper Toby', they made a video explaining about the possibilities of the UK being a Pokemon Region and I decided to honour their hard work. www.youtube.com/watch?v=3utozo…
So the name Reol comes from the Welsh word 'Reiol' which means magnificent and grand, which is linked to the UK still having a monarchy. The landmarks are all named after gemstones and some of them are inspired by real England landmarks.
While I don't have everything figured out, I did manage to name the towns and have some vague idea about what happens in them and what's in them. Stay tune.
So here are the things that I have figured out.
Towns/Cities
Agate Town- The starting point. The town where Professor Hawthorn lives and where you get your first Pokemon and your Pokedex.
Citrine Town- Your Rival's home.
Iolite City- Poison Type Gym Leader Daphne.
Diamond City- The biggest city in Reol.
Jade Town- Grass Type Gym Leader Glen.
Rhyolite City- Rock Type Gym Leader Rocky.
Peridot City- Bug Type Gym Leader Millie.
Cavansite City- Psychic Type Gym Leader Helen.
Garnet Town- Where Warren lives.
Galena City- Steel Type Gym Leader Ford.
Obsidian City- Base for the game's organisation.
Selenite Town- Ice Type Gym Leader Hailey.
Zircon Paradise
Quartz End- Pokemon League or Legendary Pokemon?
Albite Forest
Albite Henge
Citrine Forest
Coral Grove
Rhyolite Desert
Spinel Marsh
Okenite Cave
Mt Garnet- Fighting Type Gym Leader Warren.
Bismuth Bridge
Lake Azurite

The new Pokemon games coming later this year feature a UK region

I also have a British region (Actually, I'm doing a fangame with him). However, it is based on all the British Isles (England is not enough for a region) and the names of gems I use for the Spanish version (I keep working on the names for the English version, which will be by types of teas).

I had the same idea for a UK region with the cities being named after gemstones except I had obsidian city as London.

Oh I mean the landmarks' names were in reference to Steven Universe, and not neccesarrily gemstones.
