Description
This is a picture of a barn owl sitting on the ground in the autumn leaves. He was eating at the time I took the picture, but his prey isn't visible in the shot.Related content

To be fair, this owl was in a conservation area, where the birds are protected, so... easier to find.
Thanks for the feedback on my photos.

lolz still totally awsome, i have only seen a few barred owls, then of corse quite a few pygmy and barn, and gray phase screech, at a place called wind over wings where they take care of birds in captivity... which is sad ... but cool
^.^ yea ur a natural photographer

^^ Pretty! I think this species of bird is one of my most favortes. They are so light and graceful, like they are a piece of the sky in physical form.

I shoot with a Canon Rebel XTi (10.1 megapixel) and the lens was a 75-300mm f/4-5.6 telephoto.

however...Im stuck borrowing lenses and using the 18-55mm that the camera comes with
what company makes your lens and at what cost?

Canon makes the lens.
It was about $300 Canadian.
The quality is great, but there is no stabilization, so holding the camera steady is important.

hmmm
ok
i think I know what lens you are talking about
so what kind of photography do you mostly do?
I saw a lot of animal photos in your collection, but there was also a lot of landscapes.
I prefer to do macro shots, Im a bit of an amateur, but Ive found that I can really get good composition with macros.

I do both landscapes and nature. I prefer to avoid getting anything man-made in any of my shots. I prefer them to be completely natural.
