For the Gloves, I'd actually say both

I like the splash of color in this it really helps pull out the lines and the contrast makes it easier to see the details.

Loving the steampunk look of things here, odd thing is this caught attention while browsing deviantart and simultaneously watching Firefly. This character looks like she would fit right into The 'Verse. Excellent work my good man.

more color stuff is on its way, just going through most of the B&W stuff first.

i think the way you have two different gloves works fine. A has the bulky tech, but B is sleek and simple. considering Steampunk is an eclectic mishmash of various scraps of metal and clothing giving a jerryrigged look to the whole outfit, i say going with both would fit it perfectly.
