Oh yeah, my love of comic books started with Asterix, Tintin, Action Force and UK Transformers. Still some of my favorite stuff.

I never thought Asterix and Tintin would be popular in North America, with the exception of Quebec. I used to read the French versions of both until I stopped practicing my French. Now I read them in English. Is there a huge difference between Transformers and UK Transformers?

Yeah, UK Transformers had fully painted art and oversized pages. Definitely superior to the American comics. By the end of the US run, they were actually using the writer and artists from the UK comics.
