Description
Ok INVINCIBLE 23 is by far the funnest I've had drawing a comic so far. MAN this issue was alot of fun. Here is a splash page of Allen the alien, this is 3 shots scanned in the process cuz I love showing that crap. Pencils to inks. And yes that background was tuff, I gotta learn curvlinear perspective becuase as you can see it gets skewed all to hell on the sides. Ah well, I'll learn it SOME day.WyA

Bloody hell.
Bill had to have had a blast coloring this one. And it looks like it was so much fun to draw... that is, if you know how to do that stuff. This would frustrate the hell outta me. Truth be told, I don't see anything wrong with your perspective. Course I don't know what the hell i'm doin when it comes to it. Wow. Just wow. That is beautiful work, Ryan.
And it's Allen!
I still need to pick up this issue... that and The Walking Dead. Damnit, behind AGAIN!

Thanks! Glad you're liking Invincible. I ink with a hunt 102 quill pen and Micron's and Pitt pens.

Damn thats nice.
I love Allen the Alien! Damn he should have his own limited series one day ( not now, but when there is a good story)
And yeah, curvilnear is harsh, hence why my building seem to bend and sway. I just tell people it's a mutant power.

uive been staaring at this for a while looking for a crit, but the only thin i can come up with is that his vastus medialis looks a bit small for a guy this size. but then again a crit you have to stare at the piece to find and that isnt even a real crit, cant be important.
as for the piece i think its kickass as all your pieces, i love all your anatomy work. i will have to get my hands on invincible as soon as possible.

i dont say this is more right at all, but it just appeared to me that it looked rather small, also considered the positioning of the leg.

RyanOttley In reply to luxun [2005-06-03 02:07:48 +0000 UTC]
Ohhhhhhh that. Actually Allen's legs are pretty teeny and skinny compared to the rest of his body. So I don't bulge his legs at all.

Dude, that's the coolest thing I think I've seen from you yet. Wow, amazing. We'll pick up 23 soon as we can book it over to Atomic.
The curvlinear perspective definately woulda helped it but it's still damn impressive as it is.
