Well I am excited we got a hardcover for Invincible issues 1-13 coming out. This beast is over 400 pages. Here is the cover for it, makes a nice lil' wallpaper. Colors of coarse by Bill Crabtree.INVINCIBLE: THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION, VOL. 1 HARDCOVER will retail for $34.95. It will be solicited in the April issue of Diamond PREVIEWS, and will go on sale June 8.

Way cool. I'm not a fan of superheroes but this book turned me onto Invincible, and I'd say it's 50% the script and 50% the art.
I hope this goes on for a long time!

Way to include everyone on the cover, by the way. Even guys like Bi-Plane get in on the action.

I got that book. I absolutely love it! Say, I could always use some inside tips on when volume 2 is coming out...

Volume 2 was just turned in at the printer so hopefully within a month we'll see it.

It won;t be paperback, hard cover only. You can always get the Trade paperbacks though, but that would add up to around 40 bucks for the first 3 TPB's. When the Hardcover is only 35.

This looks awesome man, and the hardcover sounds awesome...I was gonna pick up the trades cause I've only managed to get the series in dribs and drabs but I'm a sucker for hardcovers so I'll be picking this beast up.
Do you know if it'll have all the covers and pin up stuff in it too?

I don't know anything about this comic, but way to go! How many of these comics did you draw?
The cover is really well drawn, but the concept doesn't beg me to look any further. It does probably serve as good way to jog the memories of those who read the comic as monthlies, but won't serve in attracting new readers much.

So far I've drawn 14 issues.
Thanks for the thoughts. The cover wasn't meant to have much of a concept, the writer asked me to do a cover with ALL the characters from the first 13 issues, so I did the best I could, and had a lot of fun doing it. Not sure how you could bring a good concept or design into that. Guess I'm not to knowledgable in the high concept areas. But I think it'll serve just fine in attracting new readers. We've been doing good so far.

I don't even know. I never even thought about that because there is 3 trade paperbacks out right now. I can ask the writer but I think the answer would be "no".
