My pencils to pages 2-3 of Invincible 64. Conquest says goodbye to his cyber arm.The first day of Comicon, July 22nd is when Invincible 64 hits the stands. Hopefully con goers don't hate me for what I did to Eve and all the excessive violence in Invincible lately. There have been a few complaints but MOST people love it, as do I.
I always wanted to see the my favorite super heroes go all out and use their power and see repercussions of a fight between two super-powered beings. But most super-heroes have limits to what they can show because of the companies that own those characters. So It's nice being a part of something that we can go wherever we want and show the fights we always wanted to see, with no one holding us back. Anyway, for you readers out there watching, I hope you dig the issue!

Not one of the best superhero books out. THE BEST SUPERHERO BOOK OUT! This book sets the bar for other books to follow. Only thing comic close to this book is Green lantern and the Darkest Night story, other than that nothing out is close. Please, pass this on to Robert Kirkman.

I for one have LOVED the last 10 issues. The new more aggressive and adult direction with the new coloring is perfect. Just makes it stand out so much more.

I'm aboslutely astounded by the amount of detail in your pencils, man. Awesome stuff! I sometimes feel like I don't get to see everything in the issue, as the story flows SO quickly. I re-read it, but I still find myself so caught up in it. It's cool to see your stuff on here and just getting to appreciate the depth of the artwork.

I love getting to see the power of the characters showcased. I think you drew enough debri from the arm to show all its mass as destroyed.

Rest assure that I will not be the one who will hate you because of the violence of the book. In fact, I very much enjoy it.
And being an artist who also publish his work independently. I totally understand you and the side of the big company. I have always this small voice in the back of my head that tells me to tone down from too much violence, because retailers and bookstores might reject consigning my comics.
But after reading Invincible, I decided to listed to that small voice less and less.

Woohoo! Spoilers! I've read somewhere that the biting force of a human (male) is about 150 lbs/sq inch. And certain appendages, such as the ears, fingers and lips, only need about 30 lbs/sq inch to be ripped off. Now then you add on the strength of a Vitrumite- possibly 100,000 lbs/sq inch- you've got yourself some pretty nasty chompers there.

I have drastically dropped the amount of comics i collect; Invincible however i have been collecting from day 1 (or issue 1)hehe - i was one of those old school minded farts who was all skeptical when you took over the art chores from Walker - very glad to say the comic has been red hot the whole damn time.
I gotta say i am loving the work put forth by the entire team working on Invincible - your pencil work is tight. TIGHT.

I was rereading my Invincible TPB's (as I often do) and I gotta say...your art from then and now is like night and day.
I remember falling in love with your early Invincible stuff but this...this is just spectacular.

This scene is so well made, you can almost feel the shockwave from the punch! I love this comic! It's the only superhero comic out there that uses creative storytelling instead of rehash.
