My pencils to pages 2-3 of Invincible 64. Conquest says goodbye to his cyber arm.The first day of Comicon, July 22nd is when Invincible 64 hits the stands. Hopefully con goers don't hate me for what I did to Eve and all the excessive violence in Invincible lately. There have been a few complaints but MOST people love it, as do I.
I always wanted to see the my favorite super heroes go all out and use their power and see repercussions of a fight between two super-powered beings. But most super-heroes have limits to what they can show because of the companies that own those characters. So It's nice being a part of something that we can go wherever we want and show the fights we always wanted to see, with no one holding us back. Anyway, for you readers out there watching, I hope you dig the issue!

this really is an awesome piece, great capture of the moment. its got a great cinematic feel too it.

i agree with you on the holding back, let these guys go at it balls-out and see what happens! youre going a great job with invincible, wouldn't be the same book without you.

Not sure what you mean. Robert wrote in the script "Invincible punches Conquests arm, destroying it", so I drew it.

That simple! I guess what I'm trying to find out is once you came out with the basic composition, did you just add the parts of Concuest's arm randomly, or was it more of 'I need a portion of two fingers here, something smaller there and so on'. At the end of the day I guess you really put into good use the freedom that Robert gives you with the way he scripts

I definitely try to imagine the actual arm breaking up, starting with Invincible's fist going through Conquests metal fist, curling his fingers inward, and everything just shattering outward.
