Description
Ya gotta love the RULK!Did this at Draw night last night. We had a nice big showing, lots of artists hangin out.
The radical Derek let me borrow his home made watercolor set and I went to town on this Red Hulk sketch.
The red Hulk comic was fun I thought, seemed like he could kill anybody. Of course the main reason why I liked the book was because of the art, the team of Ed McGuinness and Dexter Vines was extremely pleasing to say the least. But why would I only wanna say the least? To say the most it was absolutely mind-blowing seeing what those two can lay down on paper. So yeah, this sketch is a little shout-out to the fun that was Red Hulk.

Uh, yeah. I call bullshit on him lifting Thor's hammer. Nice art, though.

I agree with you. That was unnecessary. If Cap can't lift it, why can Ross?

Hulk has lifted Mjolnir on several occasions, one of which being in the Ultimate Avengers

I dont think the occasion in the Ultimates universe counts, as that wasn't really Mjolnir; it was a replacement hammer/axe created out of technology (see Ultimate Comics: Thor).
As for the main universe, the only occasion I know of was in one of the earlier comics in which Thor, wishing to fight the Hulk on even terms, has Odin temporarily remove the transformation/worthiness enchantment.

he has lifted it in other renditions as well
Hulk's strength defies magic and overpowers Mjolnir's enchantment

It wasn't canon. He only lifted it for a moment or two in an alternate universe, even then he's not strong enough to actually even use it.

i'm guessing you're forgetting the storyline in which Hulk proves himself worthy and joins that few who can wield Mjolnir

Never heard of that one, only person who was "worthy" besides Thor was Cap.

and that Bill character from Planet Hulk
it's one of the mid storylines in which Banner and Hulk finally come to accept each other removing the 'monster' side of them which causes Mjolnir to deem them a worthy warrior

No Hulk has never lifted the hammer. To address some of the other posts:
1. Journey Into Mystery #112 was when Thor had Odin suspend the enchantments for five minutes so Thor could fight Hulk unarmed without the sixty second rule. Mjolnir was stripped of all magic turned into an ordinary uru hammer.
2. The incident about the Professor Hulk holding it was during his encounter with Red Norvell. Red Norvell was holding the hammer until the Hulk smacked him away while the Hulk was holding onto the head. The hammer fell the moment Norvell lost contact. The fight itself was being played for laughs.
3. The Ultimate Avengers cartoon is the closest. Ultimate Thor's hammer has never had the worthiness enchantment. In the film, there is no mention of the worthiness enchantment in any dialogue. The only suggestion that the hammer may have one is in one of the pop up extras to explain why the Hulk has trouble lifting it. However, since this is supposed to be taking place in the Ultimate Universe and there is no mention of the enchantment in the film this is dubious at best.
4. Other instances mentioned are either a dream, the Hulk lifts it the moment it reverted to a stick, or Thor is still technically holding it.
5. The latest issue is not Hulk lifting it on his own either. Thor is calling the hammer back to him and Hulk mistakenly thinks he has lifted it.

Well if he's saying "worthy" then it wasn't brut strength, Β it was that the hammer allows Hulk to pick it up for a moment.

not a moment, Mjolnir deems him worthy to use it indefinitely like Thor, Cap and Beta Ray Bill

Well if that's actually in the comic or not, if it's canon or not, I never heard of Hulk being worthy, or/and it lasting that the long. Originally I was saying that Hulk isn't strong enough to lift Thor's Hammer. And if any other character could ever lift it by sheer strength they'd be exhausted or to encumbered to do anything devastating with it.Β
