Description
Hey guys,Here's the new cover to issue one. Hot off the presses! I might have Kieran do some fixes on the colors...I haven't decided yet. I'm not sure how I feel about the way he colored the gun. But overall I think that this is pretty cool and I'd like to know what you all think about it! So let me know...
Ryan

I actually read the issue #1 of these guys. Don't know it if you did the inner art work, but I enjoyed all aspects of it

It comes out in early October. There've been a lot of delays, but I promise it'll be out then!

The handle on the rifle she's holding looks off. The perspective I mean doesn't flow with the rest of the gun. The gun is pretty generic looking. You should have used a little more reference. If ya did, then sorry. The gun is just so big and it doesn't impress me all that much. I do love your style though, from what I could see of Midnight Kiss, it's def something I'll pick up and give it a chance.

Thanks for the comments and crits. The gun was a mistake on my behalf because I initially drew it wrong in the book with little reference and then I had to keep it consistent for the cover. It was only later in the issue that I realized that I needed to work on referencing things. So I changed it all up for issue two!

Thanks. That image was fun to do! Kieran's solely responsible for the swirly thing. I gave him the image with just the two figures and basically said, "Just do something with it". And he did it!

I just read the preview and it's a very good set up for issue 1. It even raised my interest a little more. Now I understand why the guns glow green.
I just gotta figure out that Wizard of Oz cover for issue 2.
When does issue 1 drop again? I might have to harass my comic book guy to get it.

Awesome...Glad your interest was raised. The Wizard of Oz cover will all make sense...It does seem a little bit out of left field, but I assure you, it's really going to be cool.
Issue one comes out mid-September. We had to push the release back a couple weeks because of the switch to Markosia. So badger that shop owner!!!

My only crit is on the glow .... it looks too messed up, and not too glowing.... or maybe it is like this
Cheers, Ryan!

Pedro!
Good to hear from you. We agreed with you about the glow of the gun and lessened it significantly for the actual cover.
And by the way, congrats on the great sales of issue one of AP! You deserve it.

Could use some hreavier shading on that front gun I think He did really nice colours (on pencils?) but her hair is very flat for the kind of depth I think was attempted?
On your art, that's pretty hot I think the girl's neck is a little stiff though (imo)

Mecha! Good hearing from you.
First off, you're right about the neck...I couldn't get that right for whatever reason. And we did go straight from pencils, yes. I will not comment on the colors because I am when it comes to colors. But thanks for the compliments and criticisms. Always appreciated!

Ha. Yeah, glowing green guns! I don't write the characters, I just draw 'em. Actually, come to think of it, that may have been my decision, I can't remember. I made all kinds of whacked decisions when I started the book because I pretty much had done about ten pages of comic art in my life up to that point...And by comic art I mean any art. So I was kind of flying blind. But I think the guns sort of fit the story, so we'll see! Hope it's not too lame.
