I love the title of this countdown slot. Some of you guys were probably wondering what I was going to do on the day. Well, I didn't want to stop the countdown flow, so I made a "0 days" pic! LOL

Here to celebrate on this Christmas day went to someone very special. Since this countdown mostly contained Sonic the Hedgehog official and fan-made characters, the one hedgehog for the big day has to be Sonic the Hedgehog himself!!! Here is Sonic! And this picture is special for my artwork as well. You see, during the time, the last picture of Sonic I drew was him in the 14 days slot. And that was in his Sonic Underground style, the style I was used to at the time. This picture of Sonic is actually my VERY FIRST picture of Sonic drawn in his "Sonic X" style! I paid particular attention to the details in the shadows and shading to make him the best Sonic I've ever drawn! And he's also wearing a Santa Claus robe. Pretty festive, eh?

Now, as for the song, I had a tough time picking out the song. I had to find a Christmas song that is more like... THE Christmas song, the major song that describes Christmas the best way possibly. Finally I chose Sonic to sing "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roating on an Open Fire)" mainly because of its title. The song describes what he see and feel on Christmas day. We see snow, people bundled up, holiday dinner, and happy children. It doesn't talk about the morning, but rather the whole day instead.

Finally, the song, and the whole countdown, concludes with the simple phrase, "Merry Christmas to you." Do the math, you get Sonic the Hedgehog, well-drawn, first time in his "Sonic X" style, singing the ultimate Christmas song, as to finish off the countdown.

Well, that's it for the countdown. I'm Ryan Perreault, the creator of the special 24 days until Christmas countdown, which was dated last year, 2003. It went through some minor changes, like four pics have been replaced of fan-characters owned by ex-friends of mine. The other change was the numbers in my dad's birthday. Also, this countdown was originally posted on the NetRaptor Gallery under its original status. I'm very glad I was able to do it again this year, and thankful to have drawn four new additions.

Also, I want to thank all of you who watched this countdown and enjoyed them. The total count was 11 fan-character slots and 14 offical character slots. I want to thank the following for letting me use them and their characters in the countdown and a little message to them:

Marcus Hedgehog:
Marcus, I know I didn't ask permission to draw you in this countdown and I'm sorry for that. However, unsurprised, you were honored. That is what I like to see in my friends. I personally like to surprise them and give them the feeling of being honored rather than getting yelled at. You have drawn me many times in your pics, so I felt like I should return the wonderful favor. You certainly shown that and therefore, I decided to make you as the opening to this wonderful Christmas countdown, singing the longest song. I hope you have a wonderful and Merry Christmas and give the family my love. Same with Ju-Saami and the rest. Thank you again, Marcus, and Merry Christmas.

How long have we known each other? 13 and a half years? We met at the age of five at the day camp, "Camp Rainbow" back in the summer of 1990. Now, we are both grown men and still keeping it real! Thank you again for taking me to many AHL Springfield Falcons hockey games and I can't wait to go to some games in Hartford. I hope you enjoy the gifts I bought you, and I hope I enjoy what you got me. Give Mark, Jean, and Peter my regards and wish them a Merry Christmas for me. I added you to the countdown because I felt that, after 13 years of friendship, you really deserved to be part of this wonderful event. Thank you again, man. See you soon.

I met you through Manic Panic under the alias "BlushBunnyC3." I was extremely nervous when I wanted to first meet you, but I finally did. Sure, we did have some down-time, but I'm glad you are forgivable and get worried about our friendship as much as I do. Thus, we still like to talk to each other, and I enjoy learning more about your characters, including Bullseye and Buckthorne. Out of all Sonic fans with fan-made characters, yours are always very interesting and creative, as well as your art-style. That is why I decided to give your characters four slots from last year and kept them this year. Thank you for being such a good friend to me and for leaving long and wonderful comments. I wish you, and Brandon, a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Thank you again.

As mentioned in your tribute, you are the only friend I have who I never had a fight or argument with. That's the one great trait about you, you never wanna hurt anyone on purpose, no matter what they do. Instead, you simply talk to them in calm and fashonable manners. Many of us are unaware but, your calm speeches actually work. Instead of fighting... talk it out. That's what you taught me. So, that is the reason why I gave you the special 12 days slot. Even though reptiles are hard for me to draw, I did my best to draw it and I think it turned out incredibly well. Wish the family a good Merry Christmas from me and thank you again.

And to the rest of you viewers, I'm glad you enjoyed my countdown all December long. I enjoyed making it and I hope this countdown put you all more and more into the holiday spirit.
