Description
When I first saw the stock photo by ~asteriatic-stock , I asked myself why she would go into the water like that? To me it seemed as if she's somehow paralyzed, not aware of what she's doing. That's when I came up with the idea of a dark cold sea and a single light, just as lighthouses, something one could reorientate with. But also something, that could lead you to your perdition...~ Stocks used ~

i think this one came out pretty cool. it's a nice concept, and i like the murk. i'd just say to be careful you don't lose your figures in all that texture. i think it's a bit too light, and could use more contrast. if that light were the lightest part of the page, with darkness kind of surrounding it for the most part, it would only highten the impact. right now, the whole mid section is a bit too light, i'd say. also, i might move the figure with the light up a bit more, so we get a deeper sense of space. you're definately getting some cool texture and mood here though. nice work, and keep at it!

*lazy so repeating myself* its really 'nice'. What you wanted to portray comes aross well, the blending and everything is well done. My one critique would be the light flare an dher hair/head. it should be on the other side of her right? so the back of her head/hair would be dark. prob. a halo type glow around but not so much light.
thank you for sharing.

No no!!! This is so well done! I am honored that you used my stock at all- especially in such a creative way... I think this is a beautiful piece that speaks volumes to the viewer about loss, lonliness, depression, or anything else that they need it to be. This solitude and 'looking for the light at the end of the tunnel' was very well done... Great job! I wish I could fave it more than once.
