Ryky almost never uploads 'tutorials' mostly are step by steps. It's really frustrating, but I usually understand what I need to do, but I rather have a real tutorial which says you what to do when. It makes it much easier, and you can always improvise, but now it's only improvising

I don't watch this artist, saw it on my front page and thought there would be a narrative in the description. Its a hard method to figure out if you are new to digital art in my experience.

I do watch him myself, but he rarely explains what he does in each step. I can totally understand what you mean, when I started with digital art, these kinds of tutorials would only confuse me more than actually help me

I'm not the only one who feels this way? I always felt bad for not really understanding because I like descriptions that sort of show the process. I guess part of it is experimenting and trying your own techniques? I'm just a wuss and hate doing anything without a guide... xD

Well it sort of defeats the purpose in my opinion when you have to experiment for yourself without guidance. Might as well look at a completed full artwork rather than an individual section if that is the case.

Well, I guess you've just gotta look and teach yourself in hopes of understanding how things are done. XD Kinda smart though, because it makes you actually think and focus rather than read words and copy exactly what they're doing, because what works for them may not work for you. And so this is making you find out your own way that works. :3
