The indoor smoking (and smoking in general) seems anachronistic and doesn't fit the theme. Other than that, this is a very cool work.

I wouldn't say that - maybe the figure on the right shouldn't be smoking, helmet and all, but the one at the table in back is fine. Smoke breaks have been a way for people to socialize for a short time for decades - it adds a certain amount of charm to the picture. Maybe have the window cracked open a bit or something for ventilation, though, or add a vent at the very top.
