Wowsers this one took a while. I didn't upload the sketch here, it's on my web page, though. It's gone through quite a few transformations.

Originally the eyes looked terrible, but I manipulated the over and over until I fell in love with them.

This piece probably took 20 hours or more. It took me about two weeks, off and on, to finish it. I refrenced a photograph for the sketch, and again for the shading. I'm still working on realism. But when you do a portrait you gotta use the photo. Hehe.

I did good the first couple days, then I flattened the picture and saved it. So after I threw a teensie little fit, I just worked with one layer until I finished the portrait. I think it came out pretty good.
