Yami:I did this for fun to practice inking. I really like to use the real ink pens; the ones with the ink bottles and nibs.
I had just finished reading Dragon Knights volume 22 and started to draw this. I drew the background and the characters on a separate page and then merged them into a new page with my falling apart lightboard. Then inked it for days! Finally finished! I really like it! I like my dot-effect on Rath's tunic. A lot of black ink! Took so long!
I have Rath holding Cesia protectly. Fire is on his shoulder. Fedelta and Nadil are menacing in the background. Look everyone Yami drew a girl! YAY!

Your pen work is really lovely.
I like the calligraphy pens myself, but the nibs we had in school weren't too good and they were very easy to blotch things with.
The teacher would let meh use some of hers (since I was a good student. ^^) and those worked much better, but I don't have fond memories of the inking segment in high school. XD
But I do love my calligraphy pen. ^^
