okay....by now everyone knows that i suck at drawing ariel...but here is my second...actually third attempt at drawing my favorite disney princess... ^-^i don't own ariel...it's disney

I know what pose you were trying to draw. But I actually think you should try working on that pose a bit more. Her head looks way too small and it looks like it's just laying nest to her neck. :/ Other than that I love the colors and details of the texture! Nice job on those!

I was certainly drawn in by the preview pic, because her name seemed to resemble a fish hook. Glad I decided on closer inspection. Aside from some "chestiness", this is faithful.

This is absolutely beautiful! Very different from [link] in that it is less realistic, but I love this aspect of Ariel too. She looks very un-Disney like. I love your take on Ariel.
However, it looks like her head is attached to her left shoulder... and her torso looks a little too long and stretched out, but besides that, I think you have captured her in a very interesting and flattering pose. Awesome work!

I know its already been touched on quite a bit, but I think the proportans are pretty off. I understand that things dont have to look completly realistic, but usually features are exagerated because they are more attractive. in this pic, arial has an almost male like torso. with females, the hips are supposed to be wider than the torso, and with males its vice versa. I love everything else about this pic though. the color, the pose, the overall feel. Im just annoyed with how big the torso is, it makes the head appear small. but this also appears to be one of your older works, so Im not even sure why Im commenting on this. ha ha. anyway, just my two cents.

Anatomy is very hard. I've actually sworn off drawing people until this fall when I can take my life-drawing class. I would say for her chest, the ribs look a tad too large. But it came out great none-the-less, just think of it as a new lesson learned!
