I think as in 'go to girl' is like his 'right hand man' Optimus just happens to trust her deeply when it comes to missions.
We can't confirm if she really IS his love interest until the actual series comes out, which is in December of this year. So, we can't really say much about this paring.

Indeed. But I highly doubt, that they will demonstrate any feelings, for example, about pairing "Arcee + Bee" from baymovie we do know only from comic, where it was only mentioned, but never demonstrated.

You need look at Starscream from Transformers: Prime. He looks really like rickety chick. Decepticons from Transformers: Prime are very ... strange. Like the starvings, or just like skeletons. Autobots are healthy and wealthy and glare with polish.
