Why is it that those of the Light have their Hero, and yet we of the Shadow have none?

Sheik, child of the Shadow - will you be our Hero?

...Sheikah self-advocacy. Heh XD Drawn for #sheik-fanclub 's contest to draw Sheik as a hero - I went with Sheik as a Hero of the Shadow as a counterpart to Link as Hero of the Light.

Stuck with Sheik's own colours of blue and white with pops of red, purple to represent the Sheikah, and used feathers to tie in with SS Impa's outfit (plus, I've seen some extraordinarily good fics that use a crow as a sacred animal / god to the Sheikah, so the feather association is there for good, I'm afraid ). The, uh, bareness is deliberate - Sheik covers up basically every bit of skin, aside from bits of his hands and face. But SS Impa, who's more Sheikah of old, reveals more skin - almost all of her arms, her face, and part of her legs. So I'm going with the headcanon that the Sheikah stay covered so as to basically remain... shadows, and go largely unnoticed. This design demands that people pay attention to the Sheikah.
