Description
Prince Valiant from the story of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, re-designed and his story re-written to incorporate him into an OOT/TP-esque setting, with Selene slinking behind him like a snake...To those out there who haven't read my take on Zelda's traitorous brother, here it is-
Prince Valiant was Princess Zelda's older brother, and logically, he was next in line for the throne of Hyrule. However, he was deemed unworthy for the title of future ruler of Hyrule because of his lack of morality within his view of how Hyrule was to be run. Frustrated, he sought to get back at his father somehow for this. His oppurtunity came when Ganondorf arrived to offer the Hylians an alliance between the Gerudo and the Hylians. Valiant was too smart for this: he knew the alliance was only a guise. As Link's first journey to claim the spiritual stones began, Valiant met with Ganondorf and gave him an offer. He would aid him in his quest for the Ocarina of Time by leaving Hyrule Castle wide open to attack, so that Ganondorf would be able to take the castle. Valiant's plan was to kill Ganondorf after he took over Hyrule, and then declare himself the king. This was not to be, as Ganondorf was one step ahead of Valiant. He banished Valiant from Hyrule on pain of death, as thanks for aiding him, considering the alternitive of killing him then.
Valiant waited for years on the outskirts of Hyrule for the oppourtune when he could get back at Ganondorf. it was not until he learned of Ganondorf's defeat at the hands of the Hero of Time himself, Link, that he began to plot his course of action. He would have Hyrule's crown, by any means necessary...
Selene's story neatly falls into place with Valiant's...
Selene and her sister Necraphena were the grand high priestesses of a cult that was banished from Hyrule during the Great Imprisoning war, that had called themselves "The Church of Oblivion". Their teachings of dark magic, vampirism and necromancy was feared by many. The focal point of the cult's teachings was that of the coming of "The Fatal Prince", an individual seeking revenge upon those who had wronged him, who would usher in the third dark age of Hyrule. (The first was during the imprisoning war, the second during Ganondorf's reign.) When several strange men entered her hunting domain within the haunted forests north of Hyrule Castle, Selene saw to it personally to dispose of these invaders to her territory. After mercilessly picking off several of the men, she was suprised by the last one, who resisted her every attack. This was no ordinary man. Upon asking him who he was, the man introduced himself as "A person simply looking to avenge wrongdoing against me by my own family". Selene wondered, could this be the Fatal Prince at long last? Selene invited the man to ther hideaway deep within the North Forests, where the Church of Oblivion still existed, and had made the forest their own...
Prince Valiant and Selene together began drawing the plans to the eventual crowning of Valiant as the King of Hyrule. During that time, Valiant made Selene his consort, to be at his side when he was declared King...

He also eventually starts wanting Hyrule for a different reason as well...I'd mention what it is but that'd be a spoiler. I will say, however, it involves something in this picture.

Is this sort of the background for your next fanfic? I remember you saying that after you finish "New Hyrule Order" you'll make a sequel that includes Selene...
The picture is great I love the outfit you designed for Prince Valiant ^-^

Awesome! I luv Selene's pose!
Isn't it strange though, how everybody has different ideas for one basic thing? Like I created a older brother for Zelda, his name is Drake. Hey, maybe I should draw him...I haven't drawn him since I first created him! And that was when I was 9! Hahahaha!

All things considered, Valiant isn't really my character. I just re-wrote his story a bit and re-designed his look.

Wow, very nice picture of both Valient and Selene, they look like quite the dark couple. Just one question, what do you mean by the Imprisioning War? Is this something to do with Gannondorf from other games, because the name sounds familiar, or is it something of your own creation for the stories.

The Imprisoning War was mentioned in A Link to the Past as the war during which Ganondorf was imprisoned in the Dark world. During Ocarina of Time, the Deku Tree sprout tells link about a fierce war that was fought before Link was born between the various races of Hyrule. It was only after the king of Hyrule united all of the tribes together that the war ended, however, the imprisoning war was still technically continuing because the Gerudo were still considered the outcasts of Hyrule, and it wasn't until Ganondorf's defeat that the imprisoning war technically ended, thus, The events of OOT are, in fact, the Imprisoning war mentioned in ALTTP.
So, yeah, the Imprisoning War really is part of the series, all I did was think about it and tweak it a little.
Oh, yeah, and if I recall correctly, Link was born towards the point in time that the king supposedly united all the tribes together. Ganondorf would have been a teenager during that time. interesting, no?

Okay, I thought that is what you meant, the war mentioned in LttP that ended in Gannon's exile to the dark world, but I would think that and his reign of tyranny would be as one "Dark Age" sinse the War ended with his conquest and then defeat. That's why I was confused.

Well, technically, Hyrule was at peace, while technically still at war...I mean, they weren't actually fighting, but because there was never a peace agreement between the Gerudo and the Hylians, that left them out of the unition of Hyrule...so technically they're still at war...
There's peace, but they're technically still at war...
My head hurts. I'm going to bed...
