I (and apparently lots of other people too!) enjoyed my dragon so much that I decided to do a series of them. Whichever magical creature strikes my fancy, or yours, if someone has a request. This one's actually on... an explanation of how to draw a 15 degree angle with only a compass... Yeah. You can see why I started doodling...Related content

Very elegant! the shading is more apparent, i can see you had better luck with scanning. again this has some great curves and movement. i like the direction, seems like she's at the apex of her flight and is momentarily pausing before she dives down through the sky. you should try expanding the movement beyond the boundaries of the surface, as if there is so much going on that it cant be captured on mere paper. nice work.

haha yeah, it seems like most people have a two-word response and thats boring. And about the whole expanding thing, take a dragon wing for example, you could start drawing it somwhere visible and then extend it out beyond the edge of the paper itself. Then choose a spot farther on down the same edge or even a different edge and bring the wing back in. To me, this would make the drawing seem bigger and more important than the page its being drawn on. Regardless, you have some great dragon drawings and you should keep it up!

Ah. That makes sense now... On a piece of artwork, that I had in front of me, I'd know how to extend it onto the frame or something, I've done it before. Now I get how it could be done in this format... I'll keep it in mind!

Oh, I see! Super pretty! It looks very wispy and watery, which looks really neat and confusing and awesome considering the phoenix is a fire bird and all. It makes my mind all twittery and happy. x3
