...when enemies are nearby.Don't you hate that about Morrowind sometimes? You go through a temple or beat up enough Cliff Racers to level up, but you have to rest to do that. However, you try to rest but it says you can't 'cause there're even MORE bad guys wanting to kill you around. Also, it seems like there's a Blighted Cliff Racer population boom in Morrowind. Cliff Racers might only inhabit mountain areas, but that' pretty much everywhere. I once had 5 - 7 Cliff Racers all ganged up on me, but they kept bumping into each other, so they had to come down one at a time. So I just had to stand there and wait, slash, then wait, etc. And they're so fast, you can't out-run them.
Here, Ryo's just been through some heavy battling against outlaws who attacked him, as well as having traveled a lot and dealt with nasty animals. He takes off his boots and tried to rest... oh look, a Cliff Racer. *rolls eyes*
This one's for who loves Ryo's serious expression. ^^

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion = minutes and minutes of scouring to find the one enemy that doesn't allow you to rest, only to find out they're like, half the map away just about -_-

Morrowind makes sure they're pretty close, though... well, if it's outdoors. If it's indoors, there can't be an enemy in the entire map. But outdoors, they give you the distance you need. Kinda hard when Cliff Racers are always bombarding you though.

I actually mean outdoors. I mean, I ride for I don't know HOW long on a horse to get away, and the battle music is still playing... >< I have to just hope i can get to a town quickly so I can rest.

Haven't played Morrowind but I can sympathise from playing Neverwinter Nights 2 and being trapped in a house by assassins. Ryo's angry expression and his armour look great, the skull belt buckle makes him look like a wild outlaw.

He's not an outlaw, but he is a wild man. ^^ Some might say a barbarian, but his personality isn't barbaric. xD I guess he's kind of a mix between Tarzan and Conan here. But he's not someone against the laws, so by law, he still has rights. xD Ironic, eh?

I'd love if someone made a mod that REMOVED all the Cliff Racers from Morrowind. Thank Azura we don't need to worry about those blasted things in Oblivion.

I haven't played Morrowind, but I just started playing Oblivion. I haven't been swarmed by anything yet, but I can sympathize with wanting to level up, and the darn game not letting you because it thinks there's enemies nearby!

Haha, right! So far there's always been an enemy nearby if the game says there is, but the Elder Scrolls wiki says that sometimes Oblivion will glitch and not exit "combat" mode. So you can't sleep or fast-travel even when it's safe. I hope I don't get that glitch, or I'll probably feel as fed up as Ryo looks!
